How to Get to Cortes Island

Travel to Cortes Island requires two BC Ferry crossings. From Victoria (south island) or Nanaimo (south-central island) travel north on Highway #1 to the community of Campbell River. In Campbell River travel to the downtown waterfront area of town to the BC Ferry Terminal on the waterfront.

The BC Ferry transports vehicles and walk-on passengers to Quathiaski Cove on Quadra Island. The ferry crossing is 10 -15 minutes. On Quadra Island, on the east side of the island, there is a BC Ferry Terminal connecting to Cortes Island. It is a 40-50 minute crossing from Quadra Island to Whaletown on Cortes Island..

Air

Air travel to Cortes Island is via floatplanes. Most tie up in Manson's Landing.
