- Mount Maxwell Park. One of the splendours of Salt Spring Island is the spanning ocean, mountain and island views one can enjoy from the top of Mount Maxwell Park. Once at the summit park, there are viewpoints looking out, for miles on end, over the Burgoyne Bay and the Sansum Narrows.

- Ruckle
Provincial Park. Awesome oceanfront park, with fantastic
scenery that will take your heart away. An opportunity to explore
the 480 plus hectare park observing the marine world of the
Pacific Ocean. Ruckle Provincial Park spans out over 7 kilometres
along the coastline of Salt Spring Island overlooking Swanson
Channel.
Set up for picnics,
loaded down with trails, seabird watching at Yeo Point and Beaver
Point. The biggest park on Salt Spring Island is located off of Beaver Point Road.

- South
Gulf Islands: The area is well recognized by international
kayakers as one of the prime areas for kayaking adventures and
exploring. There are many little and big islands clustered together
creating ideal bays, inlets and coves for kayakers wishing to
explore a vibrant marine eco-system. The calmer channels, safe
tidal conditions and large canyon sandstone cliffs serve up
ideal conditions for beginner kayakers. [ more

- St. Mary Lake. Sitting in the middle, on the northern portion of Salt Spring Island, is St. Mary Lake. It is the largest fresh water lake on the island out of the 8 lakes located on Salt Spring. The shoreline of the lake, from all viewpoints, is speckled with individual cottage resorts, some residential homes, farmer fields and areas of green space. [ more info

- Bullock Lake. Salt Spring Island has some unmarked trails for hiking and walking at Bullock Lake. pristine lake environment located
at the end of Dover Rd. from Upper Ganges Road in north Salt Spring.
- Cape Keppel. The southern most point of Salt Spring Island is a park with a hike to the point of through island forests leaving you with ocean marine views. A good workout hike to access the coast. Cape Keppel is located
on the south end of Salt Spring Island off of Mt. Tuam Road.
- Cusheon Lake. A popular place on Slat Spring Island is Cusheon Lake. People come to the crystal clear Cusheon Lake for swimming, fishing and boating. Take Cusheon Lake Road or
Stewart Rd from the south of Salt Spring Island.
- Centennial Park. On Saltspring Island is a place called Centennial Park. The park is an ideal spot for picnics and family gatherings because there is a covered picnic area and it is only a short distance
from the docks, village core and the marine activity. At Centennial Park there is often seals and marine birds for company.
Centennial Park is located in the heart of Ganges Village off of Fulford Ganges
Road.
- Drummond Park. There is a family friend park on Saltspring Island called Drummond Park. Drummond Park is an oceanfront park with a children's playground,
beach access, and a picnic area. Drummond Park is located south Salt Spring on Isabella
Point Road.
- Hope Hill. This is a bit of a climb when you embark on the Hope Hill hike. The hike through the forests up to the summit of Hope Hill, gives the legs a work
out. The Hope Hill trail take you up 762 m. (2300 ft) above sea level.
Hope Hill is located off of Musgrave Rd. south Salt Spring Island
- Mouat Park. On Saltspring Island is a park that is great to rest at after a day of browsing the eclectic shops called Mouat Park. Here there are picnic tables for people watching and relaxing yet, still close to the Ganges Harbour and activity. Mouat Park is located In Ganges Village
off of Rainbow Road. Frisbee Golf Course on location. Play by
donation.
- Mount Bruce. Another elevation hike to some fantastic views is found on the hike up to the summit of Mount Bruce. Over a 701 m (2300 ft) elevation gain hiking through forested
trails when accessing the summit of Mount Bruce. Mount Bruce is located at Musgrave Road south Salt Spring Island.
- Mount Tuam. More mountain on Saltspring Island is the hike up to the summit of Mount Tuam. The hiking trails take you straight up 609 m. (2000
ft) to the top of Mount Tuam. The hike to Mount Taum is often filled with wildlife viewings. Mount Tuam is located off of Musgrave Road south Salt Spring
Island.
- Musgrave Landing. Some easier hiking and walking trails located on Saltspring Island with natural marine views. Musgrave Landing is located at the southwest
end Musgrave Rd. in south Salt Spring Island.
- Stowell Lake. A less populated area for fresh water activities is at Stowell Lake. here people can swim, canoe, and fish well enjoying the wilderness around Stowell Lake. A great spot for a picnic under
the trees. Stowell Lake is located at the south end of Salt Spring off of Beaver
Lake Road.
- Southey Point. A mostly quiet area with beach access located on the northern tip of
the Saltspring Island. Southey Point is where people come to watch the marine life, and ocean activity in peace. Southey Point is located off of Arbutus Rd from North End
Road.
- Weston Lake. Saltspring is lucky to have so many lakes on a smaller island. Weston Lake is just another in the line of lakes on Saltspring Island where you can fish, swim, and enjoy some quality time in the picnic areas.
Weston Lake is located in south Salt Spring off of Beaver Lake Road.
